Dr. Carrie Byron

Carrie Byron is a marine ecologist currently working at the Gulf of Maine Research Institute as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate. Carrie received her doctorate from the University of Rhode Island (URI) where she worked directly with oyster farmers and other industry and government stakeholders to develop an ecologically and socially sustainable framework for aquaculture development. Her work has been widely accepted by both national and international audiences around the world and won the Graduate School Excellence in Doctoral Research Award for all STEM at URI.

Dr. Byron is a candidate for the Assistant Research Scientist in Ecological Aquaculture position.
