Opening Reception: Recent Acquisitions and Selections from the Permanent Collection

This exhibition celebrates exciting new additions to the University’s Permanent Collection being exhibited for the first time.  They include a number of Bernard Langlais works of sculpture, bas relief as well as works on paper donated from Colby College through the Kohler Foundation.  There are also several works by Emilio Sanchez donated from the Emilio Sanchez Foundation.  

A new Peregrine Press Portfolio featuring works by 27 artists will be displayed; a work by Gideon Bok commissioned  by the Mattina Proctor Foundation will be exhibited. Andres A. Verzosa of Aucocisco Galleries and a number of artists he represents have made donations. These include works by Terry Hilt, Richard Brown Lethem, Stew Henderson, Elizabeth Cashen McMillen, Vivian Russe, Gail Spaien, Mary Hart and Grace DeGennaro. Paintings by Dozier Bell and Connie Hayes are also featured. Several works donated by photographers are included: Jon Edwards, Claire Seidl and Susan Mills
