Mount Chocorua Day Hike
Join the Finley Recreation Center for a challenging, exhilarating, and breathtaking hike up one of the most iconic mountains in the White Mountains National Forest. This 7-mile moderate hike offers a well-traveled trail with an average grade of 11% and an option to visit Champney Falls (waterfall). The views begin a half mile before the summit with a final boulder scramble to the top. The summit stands at 3,500 feet and gives 360 degree views of the scenic White Mountains and beyond. Elevation gain through this hike will be just over 2,400 feet. The duration of the hike, above tree line exposure to unpredictable weather, and uneven/rugged terrain makes this hike for experienced hikers only.

Meet at 7 am at the Finley Recreation Center and return to campus around 6 pm
Trip is open to all Portland Campus Students at no cost
