The numbers are eye-opening: by 2050, myopia is expected to affect nearly 5 billion people, making it one of the biggest threats to vision health in the 21st century. But this isn’t just about needing stronger glasses—it’s a global public health challenge that will impact the next generation. Tackling this growing epidemic will take a team effort from everyone who supports children’s health and learning, including primary care providers, nurses, teachers, caregivers, and more. Join us for a conversation with the New England College of Optometry to uncover why myopia is spreading so quickly and how we can work together to slow its progression and protect sight for years to come.

Participation is applied toward students’ IP Honors Distinction Application.

Presented in collaboration with: New England College of Optometry and the Graduate and Professional Studies Masters of Public Health
