Restore the Shore

9:00 am - 11:00 am
Biddeford Campus (Ripich Commons front lawn)
Invasive Plant Removal for UNE's Living Shoreline

Join us for a hands-on restoration event at the site of the University of New England’s proposed living shoreline project. Participants will help remove invasive plant species that can outcompete native vegetation and reduce the ecological health of coastal habitats. Before we begin, Dr. Pam Morgan will provide a brief introduction to the concept of living shorelines and how nature-based approaches can help stabilize coastlines, support wildlife, and improve coastal resilience. Gloves and tools will be provided, and no prior experience is needed—just come ready to get your hands dirty and help restore a local ecosystem!
