UNE BioBlitz: Spring Biodiversity Survey

9:00 am - 1:00 pm
Biddeford Campus (Decary Hall front circle)
Become a citizen scientist!

A BioBlitz is a communal effort to record as many species as possible within a designated location and time period. This event will bring together UNE students, faculty, staff, and community members to participate in community science and document the wildlife, plants, fungi, and other organisms that live on our campus. Participants will use the free app iNaturalist to photograph and record species they observe during the event. No prior experience is needed—just curiosity and a smartphone! Participants are welcome to join for the whole event or drop in for part of the time.

The observations collected will contribute to a growing biodiversity record for UNE. We hope this will become an annual biodiversity survey that we repeat each spring as the weather warms and migration begins.

Come explore campus, learn about local biodiversity, and contribute to real scientific data!
