Amanda Scarpone grew up in Falmouth, ME and graduated from Quinnipiac University in 2005 with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and earned her Master of Public Health degree in December 2016. Her professional history includes: Care Manager with the Connecticut Homecare Program for Elders; Community-Based Education Manager with UNE College of Dental Medicine; and MaineShare Program Director at Maine Initiatives.  She has been teaching in the College of Arts and Sciences as an Adjunct Professor since 2019 and joined them as Visiting Assistant Professor in 2026.
