Audra Boynton, DMD

Audra Boynton, RDH, DMD, has been a faculty member at the University of New England since 2015, contributing to both clinical and didactic dental education. She currently serves as Course Director for Radiology, Oral Anatomy, and Head and Neck Anatomy. Dr. Boynton earned both her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree and Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of New England. Her background as both a dental hygienist and dentist provides a unique perspective shaping her approach to dental education and clinical instruction. In addition to her academic responsibilities, Dr. Boynton remains actively engaged in private practice and public health dentistry. She also serves as a preceptor for dental students at one of the University’s community-based externship sites, supporting students as they develop their clinical skills and gain experience providing patient care in a community setting. Her professional work reflects an ongoing commitment to dental education, clinical practice, and community-based oral health care.
