Barb Kenny serves as Associate CIO for IT Portfolio and Transformation at the University of New England, where she leads efforts to strengthen IT portfolio management, project delivery, business analysis, and technology planning across the university.

Barb brings more than 20 years of experience spanning higher education, technology, and organizational leadership. Prior to joining UNE, she led academic systems at the University of Chicago and held IT leadership roles at the University of Arkansas, where her work included enterprise applications, ERP transformation, and strategic technology initiatives. Earlier in her career, she held consulting and corporate leadership roles with organizations including Tyson, Dell, Ernst & Young and KeyBank.

At UNE, Barb focuses on building strong partnerships between ITS and university stakeholders, improving how technology investments are evaluated and delivered, and helping translate institutional priorities into practical, sustainable technology solutions.
