Dr. Burge is a 1993 alumnus of Baylor College of Medicine and 1996 alumnus of the University of Iowa Family Medicine Residency in Waterloo. Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, Dr. Burge currently serves with MatureCare as the Medical Director of Evergreen Living and Rehabilitation Center in Saco.

He was an Associate Professor of Family Medicine at University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio from 1998 to 2002, before opening his own office in the San Antonio medical center from 2002 to 2005. Dr. Burge provided house calls exclusively from 2005 to 2008. Between 2008 and 2013, he provided occupational medicine and urgent care in urban settings and hospital medicine and emergency medicine in rural settings. In June of 2013, he joined UNECOM to facilitate medical students' discovery of medicine.

He has particular interest in the integration of evidence-based medical knowledge into medical care and the development of healthcare solutions for our most vulnerable populations.
