Bill Burge

Dr. Burge is a 1993 alumnus of Baylor College of Medicine and 1996 alumnus of the University of Iowa Family Medicine Residency in Waterloo. Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, Dr. Burge currently serves with MatureCare as the Medical Director of Evergreen Living and Rehabilitation Center in Saco.

He was an Associate Professor of Family Medicine at University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio from 1998 to 2002, before opening his own office in the San Antonio medical center from 2002 to 2006. Dr. Burge provided house calls exclusively from 2005 to 2008. Toward the end of 2008, he began providing occupational medicine and urgent care as the Medical Director of a clinic in Waco, Texas, before returning to hospital and emergency department medicine from 2010 to 2013. In June of 2013, he came to UNECOM to help facilitate student learning of medical knowledge and clinical skills.

He has particular interest in the integration of evidence-based medical knowledge into medical care and the development of healthcare solutions for our most vulnerable populations.
