Dr. Swedberg joined the School of Nursing & Population Health as faculty in the 2022-23 academic year. She is a graduate of Post University with a DNP focused on Educational Leadership, Southern New Hampshire University with a MSN in Nursing Education, and Quinnipiac University with a BSN degree. Her specialty is Maternal Child Health, specifically Labor and Delivery. She continues to stay current in her clinical practice through a Labor and Delivery nurse position at Portsmouth Regional Hospital in Portsmouth, NH.

Prior to joining UNE, Dr. Swedberg has worked as a Maternal Child Health nurse, Clinical Adjunct Faculty for Maternity nursing rotations, and preceptor to new nurses. She additionally holds a U.S. and U.K. nursing license, having also worked as a Women's Health staff nurse in London, England.
