Cynthia Morris, RN, M.S.

Associate Professor of Simulation Education/Program Coordinator

Cynthia Morris, MS, RN was a professor with the University's School of Nursing and Population Health for eleven years, teaching adult medical surgical nursing. Her special interest in clinical education ultimately lead her to develop and serve as the department's first clinical coordinator. In 2003, she discovered the value of using simulation as a means to help students practice clinical and communication skills. The students' enthusiastic response to learning in the simulation lab led her to become a passionate advocate for its use. She explored her interest in simulation training and coordinated the integration of simulation into the nursing program. She played an integral role in promoting the use of simulation to enhance classroom and clinical learning and began to focus her research on her interest in utilizing simulation for interdisciplinary team training.
