Jan Johnson is an artist based in Lowell, MA, where she is also an instructor of drawing, painting, foundations and an interdisciplinary studio workshop at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. She also teaches acrylic painting at the University of New England. In 2002, she received a Painting Fellowship form the Rhode Island School of Design to study and paint in Rome. She has instructed at MassArt, Brandeis University, Colorado College and RISD. Her work is exhibited in the Boston area. She is represented by A.I.R. Gallery in New York, where she is a national member.
