Jim Irwin

Appointed Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration in July 2023, Jim Irwin, CPA, joined UNE with nearly three decades of professional experience in both corporate and higher education settings. He previously worked for Washington & Jefferson College in Washington, Pennsylvania, serving as its chief financial officer and vice president for Business and Finance, where he oversaw all aspects of the college’s financial operations. In this role, he spearheaded projects on tuition, financial transparency, and education, reducing expenses and improving operational efficiencies, and overseeing several major information technology and facilities projects.

Earlier in his career, Irwin held positions at Claremont Graduate University, the University of La Verne, LA Fitness International, and KPMG. In addition to being a licensed CPA, he holds a Master of Science in Leadership and Management from the University of La Verne and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of California, Riverside.
