Karen provides support to students in introductory biology, marine science and chemistry courses.  She enjoys working with students individually, in small group settings and in workshops to explain concepts and to help students learn how to be successful in their science classes.

Throughout her career, Karen has worked in the fields of education and the biological sciences in many different roles, including laboratory analyst, fisheries manager, high school math and chemistry teacher, and instructor of biology at the community college level.  She is passionate about sharing her knowledge of the sciences and education with students.
