Kevin Sanborn is a seasoned business leader, strategist, and investor with more than three decades of experience spanning venture capital, financial services, life sciences, and management consulting. He brings a deep practitioner perspective to business education, shaped by senior executive leadership roles and extensive experience working with founders, boards, and C-suite teams.
 
Kevin is a General Partner and co-founder of Alchemy Fund, an early-stage venture capital firm focused on supporting New England startups outside major tech hubs. In this role, he works closely with entrepreneurs to refine business models, scale operations, and build long-term value while contributing to regional economic development. He is also actively engaged in mentoring and advising early-stage companies through academic and innovation partnerships in Maine and beyond.
 
Previously, Kevin held executive leadership positions at organizations including The Hartford, Millipore Corporation, Thomson Healthcare, and Homesite Insurance, where he led large, complex businesses with responsibility for strategy, growth, operations, and profitability. Earlier in his career, he was a management consultant at Bain & Company and a financial analyst at Goldman Sachs, advising Fortune 500 companies on growth strategy, performance improvement, and capital markets.
 
Kevin holds an MBA from Dartmouth College’s Tuck School of Business, where he was a Tuck Scholar, and an AB from Bowdoin College in Economics and Biology, graduating summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa.
