Maggie White, MA, LCPC-C

Maggie holds a BA in English Literature from Colby College as well as MAs in both Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Communication. Working with a hospice organization, Maggie entered the counseling field with a focus on grief and bereavement. Her more recent role in the counseling department of Maine Maritime Academy illuminated how much she enjoys working with young adults. 

As part of the UNE counseling team, Maggie brings a client-centered, humanistic approach to her collaboration with students. With a professional background as a writer and editor, Maggie believes in the power of story and often draws on narrative theory. Working with clients to uncover creative ways to restore, reimagine, and empower is something she especially enjoys about the counseling relationship.
