Senior Director of Communications and Public Relations

Location

Ginn Hall 102

As Senior Director of Communications and Public Relations, Sarah oversees public and media relations for the university, looking for stories about UNE students, faculty, professional staff, academic programs, and research to share with a variety of audiences in order to grow UNE’s global reputation. She also oversees institutional communications to the UNE Community.

A natural storyteller, Sarah Delage came to UNE with eight years of broadcast journalism experience in Maine. During her tenure as a reporter at NEWS CENTER Maine, the statewide NBC affiliate, she covered city government, education, crime, politics, business, extreme weather, and feature stories from Kittery to Fort Kent. Working both in front of and behind the camera, Sarah shot news stories, wrote scripts, edited video, and delivered live reports. They are skills she learned early on, earning a B.S. in Broadcast Journalism from Emerson College.

Sarah brings her passion for storytelling to each interaction with a member of the UNE community. Every student, faculty, and professional staff member brings a unique set of experiences and expertise to the university, and Sarah is eager to bring those stories to life.
