UNE Experience

I was born and raised in Wisconsin before moving to Massachusetts where I work as a Production Manager at a local weatherization company. I was drawn to UNE by a health-care focused curriculum that offered many academic opportunities.

Starting this year I will complete a major in English and work with Professor Jennifer Tuttle on a year-long independent research project focusing on the practical and literary value of illness narratives. I hope to compile primary and secondary sources in order to analyze illness narratives from both the perspective of a literary device, as well the practical application of illness narratives as a tool in medical settings.
