The best part of working at UNE is working directly with the students. I have the opportunity to guide them through different programs — there are so many clubs, organizations, and volunteer efforts here. I love working with students and helping the clubs and organizations do what they want to do.

[UNE] is a great, close-knit community. Everyone believes in the students and supporting them. The opportunities that people get to take are incredible. I think of the outdoor rec department on the Biddeford campus, and how the students are able to take a kayak out right from campus on the Saco River. You don’t get that anywhere else. We have kayaks, sailboats, and other gear for students to use that are all included in their cost of attending UNE. Having those recreational opportunities right on campus is incredible.

The Portland campus has lots of offerings too, like Coffee Connections events or Lunchtime Bingo, which we offer for our grad and professional students.
