John Stubbs publishes article in Fluid Phase Equilibria

John Stubbs, Ph.D, an assistant professor in the Department of Chemistry and Physics, recently published an article entitled "Monte Carlo simulation of solute extraction via supercritical carbon dioxide from poly (ethylene glycol)" in the journal Fluid Phase Equilibria (Fluid Phase Equilib. 305, 76-82, 2011).  This work, which investigates the use of an environmentally-friendly biphasic solvent system for the purification of chemical reaction products, identified solvent density and carbon dioxide solubility in poly(ethylene glycol) as factors that control the extent of separation.
