Bangor Daily News reports on UNE’s Alfond Forum being named a ‘Notable Project' for 2012

The Bangor Daily News on May 28th ran a story on a Maine Real Estate and Development Association's conference on May 22nd. Although the story focuses on first quarter trends in the Maine real estate market, it also reports that the Association announced its 2012 list of the six “most notable” commercial development projects in the state, which embody the Association’s belief in responsible development. The list includes the University of New England's Harold Alfond Forum, which opened on the Biddeford Campus in fall 2012.

The Forum, made possible by a $10 million gift from the Harold Alfond Foundation, includes an ice hockey rink with 900 seats, a basketball court with seating for 1,200, classroom space, a fitness center, and multi-purpose indoor practice courts that can be used for performance and other events, with a combined seating capacity of 3,000.
