Cathy Plourde, Director of Add Verb Productions, and Nananda Col, M.D., M.P.H., FACP, Research Professor of Medicine in the College of Osteopathic Medicine and the Center for Excellence in the Neurosciences, recently presented in Vancouver at the international Interprofessional Education and Practice conference, Collaborating Across Boarders III.

Their presentation featured the use of scripts, improvisation and role play in the teaching of shared decision making.  Col and Plourde have been collaborating for a year, creating scripts to address common health situations in which patients may not even recognize there is a decision to be made or in which there is not a clear, single course of action.
