TV stations cover UNE-MARC’s release of six seal pups

WLBZ, WCSH and WMTW television stations aired coverage of the release of six harbor seal pups by UNE’s Marine Animal Rehabilitation Center over the weekend.

Bubblicious, Skittles, and Licorice, the three pups who were the only ones initially scheduled to be released on Saturday, July 20, 2013, were joined by three additional pups who were given a clean bill of health in time for the release.

All of the pups were maternally-dependent and found stranded on Maine beaches.  UNE-MARC restored the seals back to health as well as taught them how to eat fish.
