UNE 2013 awards ceremony honors student and faculty achievements
The University of New England 2013 Annual Biddeford Campus Awards Ceremony on April 23, 2013 honored graduate and undergraduate students, faculty and staff who have excelled in scholarship and in their contributions to the University's collegiate community.
Among those honored were: Steven E. Byrd, Ph.D., associate professor of Spanish and Portuguese and director of Latin American studies minor, who received the Debra J. Summers Memorial Award for Teaching Excellence; and Susan Gray, Ed.D., associate professor and chair, Department of Mathematical Sciences, who received the The Kenneally Cup for Distinguished Academic Service to Undergraduate Students. Lindsay M. Forrette, an animal behavior major, received the Jacques Downs Award for Academic Excellence.
