Andrea LaFlamme named president-elect of Board at Mabel Wadsworth Women’s Health Center

Andrea LaFlamme, MPH, a graduate from the School of Community and Population Health, was recently named as president-elect for the Board of Directors at Mabel Wadsworth Women’s Health Center in Bangor, Maine. LaFlamme worked as a student clinic assistant for Mabel’s in 2007 during her undergraduate education at the University of Maine. She joined the Board of Directors in 2011 and currently serves as the development chair.

Mabel Wadsworth Women’s Health Center is one of only 15 private, non-profit, feminist women’s health centers in the county and is the northern most publicly available practice in the state of Maine offering abortion services.  Mabel’s works to provide educational and clinical services in sexual and reproductive health care to women regardless of age, ability, race or ethnicity, sexual orientation, or economic resources.
