Brian Duff quoted in ‘Daily Journal’ on gubernatorial candidate Mike Michaud’s new ad campaign
Brian Duff, Ph.D., chair and associate professor in the Department of Political Science, was quoted in an article on Maine’s gubernatorial race that appeared in the October 27, 2014 issue of the Daily Journal.
The article discusses Democrat Mike Michaud’s recent ad campaign that warns voters that their support of Independent Eliot Cutler would be tantamount to casting a vote for Republican incumbent Paul LePage.
Duff commented on the effect of Michaud’s acknowledgment of Cutler as an opponent. "It gives [Cutler] some legitimacy if you run ads that pay attention to him, that take him seriously as an alternative," said Duff.
