Students and faculty from Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy programs volunteer at Riding to the Top fundraising event

Occupational Therapy Class of 2016 students Samatha Curran, Rachel Andres and Emily Pearce volunteered at a Riding to the Top (RTT) fundraising event on October 18.

They were joined by Kathryn M. Loukas, O.T.D., M.S., OTR/L, FAOTA, clinical professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy, Regi Robnett, Ph.D., OTR/L, professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy, and Eileen Ricci, P.T., D.P.T., M.S., P.C.S., assistant professor in the Department of Physical Therapy.

Riding to the Top is a therapeutic horseback riding program based in Windham, Maine. UNE students volunteered to help riders with lessons, horse support, and fundraising through service learning.

 RTT is a strong community partner with the Westbrook College of Health Professions, and has facilitated research projects in the past with the Department of Occupational Therapy and the Department of Physical Therapy.
