DPT students provide ergonomic consultation to UNE Employees

Several third-year Doctor of Physical Therapy students partnered with UNE’s Office of Human Resources and Department of Environmental Health and Safety, as well as Creative Office Pavilion and WB Mason, to again provide education about workplace ergonomics as part of the University’s Benefits Re-Enrollment Exposition.

The students greeted people at the expo and discussed appropriate workplace postures, stretching exercises, office chairs and sit to stand workstations.  Students participate in this annual event as part of a course in the DPT curriculum on Disease Prevention and Health Promotion.  The students also offer office workstation assessments as part of this service to the University Community.
