Karen Pardue participates in National League for Nursing Strategic Action Think Tank on Interprofessional Education

Karen Pardue, Ph.D., R.N., CNE, ANEF, associate dean in the Westbrook College of Health Professions, was one of five nurse educators from across the country invited to participate in the National League for Nursing Strategic Action Think Tank on Interprofessional Education (IPE).  

Joining the group was Barbara Brant, Ph.D., director of the National Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education at the University of Minnesota, and Malcolm Cox, M.D., chief Academic Affiliations officer, Veterans Health Administration.  

The group aims to present a position statement on Interprofessional Education and Practice addressing the nursing workforce, ranging from licensed practical nurse (LPN) to doctoral, as well as to create IPE instructional materials for educators to integrate into schools of nursing across the country.
