Lara Carlson interviewed about best time of day to exercise

Lara Carlson, DPE., FACSM, CSCS, associate professor in the University of New England’s Westbrook College of Health Professions and the Center for Excellence in the Neurosciences, was recently interviewed by several publications about the benefits of morning exercise. The articles include, "Is there an optimal time to exercise?" in Harper's Bazaar and a Grandparents.com for an article titled, “7 Worst Morning Habits”.

Carlson was tapped for her expertise in exercise and sports medicine. “There’s research that has looked at people engaging in morning versus afternoon exercise, and those who exercise in the morning appear to have lower blood pressure throughout the day and they get better sleep,” Carlson said.
