UNE College of Pharmacy announces 2016 SSHP Scholarship recipient

Michael Takach Jr. (COP, ’17) has been selected as the 2016 UNE Student Society of Health-System Pharmacy (UNE-SSHP) scholarship recipient. Takach was presented with the honor at the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) Midyear Conference, held December 4-8, 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The scholarship is awarded to one fourth-year student planning to pursue a pharmacy residency after graduation. Applicants submitted a CV, letter of intent regarding their pharmacy goals and written statement addressing how attendance at the ASHP Midyear Conference would be beneficial in attaining career aspirations.

The UNE-SSHP encourages pharmacy students to explore disciplines of interest within clinical pharmacy and provides tools and knowledge necessary to excel in the field. The organization works to strengthen the skills of members, enabling them to to become highly respected clinical pharmacists and indispensable members of a medical team.
