UNE Education Club participates in statewide literacy event

On February 24, 2016, students from the UNE Education Club took part in the “Read to ME Challenge,” a statewide literacy initiative developed by the Maine Department of Education.  

The Education Club hosted Bedtime Stories, a read-aloud event at the John F. Kennedy Memorial School in Biddeford. Designed for kindergarten students and their families, the event included storytelling, literacy games and an educational session for parents on tips for reading aloud to children. Approximately 25 kindergarteners and their families were in attendance.
