An exhibition of artwork by local artist Phil Stevens will be on display at the University of New England’s Biddeford Campus Center from December 6, 2018, to January 14, 2019. A reception will be held December 13 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Campus Center lobby.

Titled New Work, the exhibition showcases the Maine landscape and includes oil on canvas paintings as well as monotype prints on paper.

Stevens, a resident of Windham, Maine, is a 1991 graduate of the Maine College of Art. He says he “seeks the sublime through nature” and frequently looks for inspiration in abandoned fields and nature preserves in the Maine countryside.

The exhibit is free and open to the public. UNE’s Campus Center is located at 11 Hills Beach Road, Biddeford, Maine. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. For more information, contact Diane Noble by email or phone (207-284-6394).
