Three video submissions from the University of New England are in the running for awards at the New England Emmy ceremony in Boston in June.

In the Commercial category, Marketing Strategist Sean Fitzpatrick, Film Producer/Director Daniel Lambert and Integrated Admissions Strategy Coordinator Elizabeth Prybylo are nominated for their work “A Day In The Life.”

The video portrays what it’s like to be an undergraduate student at UNE. It jumps from student to student, taking the viewer through an entire day.

“I wanted to highlight our gorgeous campus, the hands-on learning we're known for, and our welcoming community.  I wanted it to be energetic and inspiring to prospective students considering our University,” said Prybylo.

The work is a collaboration between UNE’s Offices of Admissions and Communications.

“We’re so excited the Office of Marketing and Communications is working so closely with the Admission’s Office and others across the University. To be recognized this way is just amazing,” said Vice President for Strategic Initiatives and Communications Ellen Beaulieu.

Lambert and Fitzpatrick are also nominated in the Commercial category for “Inspiring U.” The 30-second television spot highlights the messaging pillars that the university’s marketing is built upon, including experiential learning (“Astonishing U”), student success (“Elevating U”), global explorations (“Daring U”) and beautiful campuses (“Inspiring U”).

The entries face tough competition from throughout New England, including entries from two of Boston’s professional sports teams.

“It’s really exciting to be in the New England Emmy Awards, side-by-side with such icons as the Red Sox and the Bruins, up for best commercial. That’s a rewarding place for UNE to be, and it’s only possible because students and faculty have made the UNE story so compelling,” said Sean Fitzpatrick.

Lambert was also nominated for a third Emmy in the Photographer Short Form category for his "UNE Cinematography Composite" piece.

“I’m fortunate to be with an exceptional team here. The nominations reflect the high level of work we’re doing here at UNE,” he said.

The winners will be announced at the 41st Boston/New England Emmy Awards Ceremony on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at the Marriott Boston Copley Place.

The best commercial nominees can be viewed on UNE’s YouTube channel.
