College of Dental Medicine’s Anuja Doshi wins American Academy of Periodontology award

Anuja Doshi received the Dr. D. Walter Cohen Teaching Award in Chicago, Illinois

Anuja Doshi, B.D.S., M.S., assistant clinical professor in the College of Dental Medicine, is the recipient of the $10,000 Dr. D. Walter Cohen Teaching Award.

Each year, one candidate with excellent character, integrity, a record of academic and personal achievements in periodontal education, and an aptitude for teaching and research is selected by the American Academy of Periodontology Foundation (AAP) Foundation for the award.

The mission of the AAP is to improve the periodontal and general health of the public by increasing public and professional knowledge of periodontal diseases and their therapies. The AAP seeks to stimulate basic and clinical research to generate new knowledge and aims to enhance educational programs at all levels to create opportunities in periodontal education and practice.

Doshi recently received the award at the AAP annual meeting in Chicago, Illinois.
