An exhibition of paintings by local artist Rachel Michaud will be on display at the University of New England’s Biddeford Campus Center from July 30 to August 28.

The majority of Michaud’s works are paintings that were inspired by photographs. Images captured by photographers Nina Fuller and Mary Ellen Moore are the basis for several of the paintings in the show. Michaud enjoys exploring color and size in her art, and favorite subjects include animals and flowers.

This is the second exhibit that Michaud has mounted at UNE’s Biddeford Campus Center. In 2015, she displayed paintings of rescue dogs. She has also participated in MECA Create and MECA Collect shows as well as the MacPage Exhibit, WEX Healthcare Exhibition, Townsend Realty Show and Wood Island Wet Paint Auction.

The exhibit is free and open to the public. UNE’s Campus Center is located at 11 Hills Beach Road, Biddeford, Maine. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. For more information, contact Diane Noble by email or phone (207-284-6394).
