A solo photo exhibit at Cove Street Arts in Portland features 37 photographs by Tim Greenway, a local professional and commercial photographer who also serves as an adjunct professor in the Department of Arts where he teaches digital photography.

“Refined Resurgence” will be on view from Oct. 14 through Dec. 11, 2021.

The exhibit explores progress and beauty in the context of two photography series: South Portland’s petroleum tanks and the expanding cityscape of the Portland peninsula over the past two years.

“With these photographs, my hope is to provide a new creative way to view these familiar mundane environments that many consider eyesores,” Greenway explained. “Perhaps the exhibit will provoke the viewer to see beauty and art in their own lives and environment.”

An opening reception will take place on October 14, from 5 to 7pm.
