Kim received her B.A. from George Washington University, M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and M.A. in School Counseling from the University of Southern Maine.  Kim has over 16 years of experience as a former school counselor, crisis counselor, trainer and program director in community mental health, substance use and crisis services.  Kim specializes in suicide prevention, trauma informed care, motivational interviewing and harm reduction methodologies.  Kim’s supportive counseling style blends these approaches to help each student enhance health, well-being, connection and confidence while at UNE and for life beyond.
