Dental Hygiene (4-Year B.S.)

There are many dental hygiene schools to choose from. However, as I began to narrow down my options it became very clear to me that the program at UNE is exceptional and stands apart from the rest.

Not only does the school have a long-standing reputation for excellence, but so many aspects of the program parallel with my professional goals and helped me gain the most of what I expect to obtain from my dental hygiene education.

Exceptional Teaching

The faculty to student ratio in clinical settings is relatively low, providing you with ample opportunity to interact with faculty members. UNE also provides you with the necessary skills, such as critical thinking, ethical decision-making, and leadership skills, that are required for a successful dental practitioner. This is achieved through the numerous community outreach events along with the interprofessional curriculum students partake in.

Through the interprofessional curriculum, I had the opportunity to work alongside many health care professions with the common goal of providing optimal care for patients.
