2026 Healthcare Story Slam

We are all storytellers. Living in a body means living with stories. In health care, storytelling helps humanize the experiences of illness, healing, caregiving, and providing care. By listening to one another, we deepen empathy and discover new ways to think about healing and connection.

 Established in 2021, the UNE Health Care Story Slam brings together students, patients, clinicians, caregivers, and community members for an evening of impactful storytelling. The theme for the 2026 event is Balance.
