The University of New England's two campuses in Biddeford and Portland have a rich academic and cultural life.  An increasing number of lecture series contribute to this milieu.

These series include the Core Connections Lectures, Bernard and Sandra Featherman Distinguished Lecture on Humanities, the Crosley Lecture, the Paul D. Merrill Lecture in Business Ethics, Maine Women Writers Collection author series, the Human Nature Project's Hume Lecture, the Center for Global Humanities' lectures and seminars and Center for Excellence in the Neurosciences seminars, among others.
