Cassidy Adams (Pharmacy, ’19) and Cody Hutchins (Pharmacy, ’19), recently traveled to our nation’s capital for the National Association of Chain Drug Stores 11th annual RxIMPACT Day.

Adams and Hutchins were selected to take part through a competitive application process. Only 50 slots were made available nationwide.

They joined colleagues from Hannaford Pharmacy to meet with legislators and advocate for bills that advance access to pharmacy services by supporting provider status and for opioid policy solutions.

Adams and Hutchins applied their training on pharmacy issues, policy making and effective communication during meetings on Capitol Hill.

They were among more than 400 advocates from across the country who descended upon Washington, D.C. to educate Members of Congress about the importance of pro-patient, pro-pharmacy policy, and key issues related to health care reform.
