Mike Sheldon, PT, Ph.D., associate provost for Academic Affairs at the University of New England, recently was the lead presenter in a webinar for the Leadership Academy within the American Council of Academic Therapy (ACAPT).

The ACAPT is dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in physical therapist (PT) education and represents approximately 95% of institutions with accredited PT education programs.

Sheldon’s webinar, held March 23, focused on collaborative leadership and its application to the formation of meaningful and sustainable partnerships. Sheldon was joined by three panelists who shared examples of academic-clinical and academic-community partnerships that exemplified various elements of the presentation.

“The ACAPT Leadership Academy is a great and needed resource designed to mentor the next generation of leaders in physical therapist education, and I was honored to have been asked to participate in this webinar,” Sheldon noted.
