Bob joined the University of New England in late 2021 and brings extensive experience in research compliance administration. Prior to assuming his current role, Bob served as Senior QA and Education Manager at Weill Cornell Medicine, where he led quality assurance, training and education, and process improvement initiatives within the Human Research Compliance Office. 

In his current role, Bob supports the ethical and responsible conduct of research involving human subjects, vertebrate animals, and biosafety, and works closely with UNE’s Institutional Review Board (IRB), Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), and Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC). Bob also leads the University’s responsible conduct of research (RCR) training program. 

Bob’s professional interests include research ethics, streamlining compliance processes to improve the experience for both researchers and review committees, and building community and educational opportunities for research compliance professionals across Maine peer institutions.
