Robert H. Zeiler, BS/MS/PhD

Dr. Zeiler has scientific degrees from Long Island University (B.S., Biology and M.S. Physiology) and earned his doctorate in Biology from New York University, Washington Square. Prior to entering the pharmaceutical industry, he performed original research in cardiac physiology and biophysics, particularly in arrhythmia and ischemia, publishing in over 50 abstracts and peer-reviewed journals.

Dr. Zeiler has over 25 years of pharmaceutical drug and device development experience focusing on the cardiovascular therapeutic arena. He has worked in all size pharma and device companies as well as CROs and has lead clinical operations teams that have obtained FDA approvals for several different compounds. Joining the University of New England's new College of Pharmacy in November of 2008,he is currently responsible for teaching Pathophysiology and is establishing a continued research effort in cardiac electrophysiology as well as providing expertise in establishing and performing clinical trials. He is currently the chair of the Assessment and Evaluation Committee and is a member of the university Institutional Review Committee and Research Committee.
