UNE COM 2025 White Coat Ceremony

2:00 pm - 4:30 pm
Off Campus
The University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine (UNE COM) welcomes its next class of future physicians to the brand-new Harold and Bibby Alfond Center for Health Sciences in Portland. This milestone marks the first UNE COM cohort to transition their medical education on Maine’s comprehensive, integrated health sciences campus, the Portland Campus for the Health Sciences, a first-of-its-kind setting in New England that brings together medical, dental, physician assistant, pharmacy, nursing, and allied health students in a collaborative environment.

During the College of Osteopathic Medicine’s 28th annual White Coat Ceremony, the college will welcome the Class of 2029 into the medical profession. As a time-honored tradition, this milestone in osteopathic medicine marks the beginning of UNE students' journey, symbolizing their commitment to patient care, professionalism, and the principles of osteopathic practice. UNE COM students don their white coats and take their first steps toward a career of healing and service.
