How to apply to HuMed-CDM

For current UNE College of Arts and Sciences students:

  1. Notify the Director of HuMed that you intend to apply by completing and submitting the Intent to Apply form. Please print the form, complete and give it to Elaine Brouillette, Administrative Assistant, in the English Department office, ground floor of Marcil Hall.
  2. Once you have submitted the Intent to Apply form, please provide the following materials:
    • Personal Statement
    • Two letters of recommendation from science faculty and one dentist, if possible
      • ​The following question will help frame the letters: “In your view, why is the candidate well-positioned to take advantage of the opportunity that HuMed provides and flourish as a student, a person and an aspiring dentist?”
    • ​Both the personal statement and letters should be sent electronically to Professor Matthew Anderson at manderson@une.edu. Please use the subject lines: HuMed-CDM Personal Statement [your name] and HuMed-CDM Letter of Recommendation [your name].

For students applying to HuMed-CDM as transfer students:

  1. Notify HuMed that you intend to apply by sending an email to Professor Matthew Anderson at manderson@une.edu
    • In your email, please provide the following information:
      • Your current institution
      • Your current majors and minors or academic concentration(s)
      • Your email contact information
  2. Complete and submit the Common Application
  3. Provide the Admissions Office with:
    • Personal Statement
    • Two letters of recommendation from science faculty and one dentist, if possible
      • ​The following question will help frame the letters: “In your view, why is the candidate well-positioned to take advantage of the opportunity that HuMed provides and flourish as a student, a person and an aspiring dentist?”
    • Both the personal statement and letters of recommendation should be sent to Peter Heeley in the Admissions office at:
