UNE Alum Lindsay Forrette receives NSF Graduate Fellowship

Lindsay Forrette, Animal Behavior ’13, has received a NSF pre-doctoral fellowship for her graduate work in animal behavior, ecology and evolutionary biology.

The purpose of the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) is to help ensure the vitality and diversity of the scientific and engineering workforce of the United States. The program recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students who are pursuing research-based master's degree and doctorate in science and engineering. The GRFP provides three years of support for the graduate education of individuals who have demonstrated their potential for significant achievements in science and engineering.

Forrette is currently in her first year in a Ph.D. program at Indiana State University. While at UNE, Forrette was a Goldwater Scholar and the 2013 recipient of the Jacques Downs award. Forrette worked in the lab of Teresa Dzieweczynski, an associate professor in the department of psychology, where she was a co-author on five scientific articles and the first author on an additional publication.
