UNE Global Education Scholarships
A $500 scholarship is available to the first 20 UNE students each semester who apply to attend a semester abroad at UNE's campus in Morocco as well as to the first 20 students to apply for a semester in Spain. Students applying to UNE Travel Courses or non-UNE semester programs abroad can apply for a scholarship as well. Applications can be picked up in the Global Office in Decary or are also available here.
Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship
This scholarship provides study abroad grants to undergraduate U.S. citizens with financial need. Students of all majors, who are receiving a federal Pell Grant at a 2-year or 4-year college or university, are welcome to apply. The awards given are up to $5,000. Summer and fall semester applications are due in March, and the spring semester applications are due in October. For more information visit the Gilman Website.
Fund for Education Abroad (FEA) Scholarships
FEA scholarships are available to undergraduates of all majors who are willing to promote education abroad on campus upon return from their study abroad program. For more information visit FEA's website.
These scholarships provide up to $20,000 to U.S. undergraduate students to study abroad in areas of the world that are critical to U.S. interests and underrepresented in study abroad, including Africa, Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America, and the Middle East. Boren scholars represent a variety of academic backgrounds, but all are interested in studying less commonly taught languages. Check out their website for more information.
